The evening of the last day of the school term was a great time to reflect on how much had been achieved within the term in the little studio behind the stairs of the Coach House.

The children’s bi-annual art exhibition was a huge success with more than 30 families coming to support their child in their creative endeavours.
There were sculptures made from paper and foil in the style of Henry Moore, tropical sunset watercolours, drawings from imagination and from life. Each of the children created a canvas, with the title Underwater Adventure, that was begun with modelling paste to create raised areas underneath the acrylic paint. We had colourful beaded geckos hanging from a tree and fossils of shells, footprints and skeletons created from plaster of paris that was created with a clay mould.
Luke Mifsud was awarded the student of the term prize of an Angus and Robertson book voucher. Luke impressed me with his boundless imagination and passion for art and was proud to show that he is an amazing artist with his own display of work.

It was very rewarding for me to see the children recognised for their efforts. There is nothing more satisfying than the smiling face of a child after they are told that what they have done is amazing.
